Google-oating
Never happened before, but someone pointed out to me that the blog, which I haven't really paid attention to that much lately, is now numero uno when searching for "bulletproof vest" in Google. The same for Yahoo search. Is it because of my IP address, and that it comes from the Philippines? Anyone out there outside the country who can verify this?
Seems like blogging = SEO.

I checked it out and it's true! That is the reason why blogs are becoming a very popular tool for SEO practitioners. With very little optimization, a blog can literally take over search engine results even for obviously commercial keywords.
Hi, Jonathan,
It's fallen to fifth or sixth lately. I guess when I start blogging that's when it actually has less traffic.
Stranger things have happened.
Happy
Unfortunately, it seems to have fallen even further.
On a related note, it's my turn to Google-oat. Check out results of a Google search for drive by shooter
How's your class going, btw?
Hi, Elber,
Good stuff. I moved my blog from it's old url (.../weblog/) to the current one, and down it went.
That's fine with me. Most of my traffic comes to me directly, or through a referral. The ones coming from search engines are mostly to look up Ruffa Gutierrez.
In fact, it's better to say that it's coming up, rather than falling, as the Google SERP's now show the new url.
Class is fine, thanks for asking. They could do more, but I could push more too. At the end of the day, I think they learned enough to stay interested through their careers.
Thanks,
H
