Investourism

In a recent PCCI forum, the chamber revealed its plans for reinvigorating the local tourism industry:

"We are committed to bring in five million foreign tourists, generate US$5 million in tourism receipts, and create five million jobs through US$5 billion worth of investments in tourism by 2010," said Samie Lim, PCCI vice president for Tourism.

Um, that makes a total of one buck from every tourist? And a job for each visitor? And a million dollars spent per visitor? Dang, with math-savvy business leaders like this, there is hope for the country yet!

Hay naku, ang hilig hilig sa mga ganitong numbers at projections - but where's the concrete plan? These people can't even solve the garbage problem in Boracay, their biggest money earner. Pfft.

Plus, Pagsanjan can be a decent draw if they fix it.

And, all them golf courses.

Safe. Dami tanawin. May fresh milk at buko pie pa kaming dala pauwi.

Just scroll down to "Philippines." Thanks.

Thanks, Igz. (I like that too!)

Trying to open up all sorts of avenues. I know far too many people who have worked in GSOL to not have an interest in it. (Believe me, far too many.)

yeah...it can be incredibly frustrating especially if you're creative. half the time we spend here is "templatizing & standardizing" things (articles, websites, layouts, etc.) It saves time, but you get bored inputting different data into the same old box each day.

"inputting different data into the same old box each day" sounds like a neat twisted euphemism for, er, EATING?!?
